WOUND CARE SERVICES
A broad array of clinical services is available ranging from comprehensive wound care consultations on individual patients to facility wide continuous quality improvement/compliance programs. Our flexible programs allow facilities to choose the clinical package package best suited for their individual clinical and financial needs while maintaining the highest quality of care. Our clinical services are provided by consultants who have extensive wound care knowledge and clinical expertise, so you can feel confident you are getting the best.
Comprehensive Wound Consultation
Includes detailed chart review, bedside assessments for positionning requirements, environmental issues, wound/skin assessment, evaluation and recommendations to enhance wound treatment or prevention and inprove documentation.
Follow-Up Consultation
Includes updated chart review, bedside assessment, wound/skin assessment, evaluation of response to treatment, recommendations to continue or improve progress in wound treatment or prevention.
Wound Rounds
Our consultant participates in wounds rounds with your skin/wound team assisting in bedside wound/skin assessment, evaluation and recommendations to enhance treatment.
Skin/Wound Team Meeting Participation
Our consultant collaborates with facility staff to focus on specific skin and wound care issues on an ongoing basis. Care plans for patients are reviewed and appropriate product and treatment recommendations are provided.
Protocol Development Assistance
Our consultant collaborates with key facility staff to design specific wound prevention and treatment protocols. Facility may request that existing protocols be evaluated and enhanced for improved utilization or that new protocols be developed.
Facility Specific Inservice Training
Inservices designed with facility specific wound care issues, i.e positionning, documentation, topical treatments, facility protocols, risk assessments, survey plan of action compliance, etc.
Survey Intervention Programs
Pre-survey to minimize risk of state or federal citations regarding developing of nosocomial pressure ulcers or Post Survey to aid in plan of correction for citations regarding the development or decline of pressure ulcers.
